As the web project producer, I wore multiple hats, overseeing content, managing timelines, and ensuring compliance with educational and safety laws. Through weekly check-ins, I kept our development and design teams aligned, adapting gracefully to schedule shifts while never losing sight of our project's objectives. As a dedicated point of contact for our client, I addressed their needs promptly, even while managing communication with our developer in Korea across time zones. In this role, my goal was clear: to deliver a website that met and exceeded expectations.
'Adventures of Asia' is a captivating online platform where graphic novels take center stage. Collaborating with artists from China, India, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and the United States, this project offered an immersive journey through contemporary and historical Asia. We leveraged the power of graphic novels, known to engage students better and enhance recall and comprehension. Each story was exclusively commissioned by Asian and Asian-American artists from the 5 exclusive Asian countries and Houston, ensuring authenticity in visual language and cultural narratives. Interactive panels sprinkled throughout the novels not only made learning more fun but also provided teachers with valuable insights. 'Adventures of Asia' was more than just storytelling; it was an innovative approach to education and cultural exploration.

'Asia in the Classroom,' a resource hub was designed to make educators' lives easier. With both free and paid options, these resources provide classroom lesson guides that seamlessly integrate into existing curricula and studies. These lesson guides are carefully crafted from materials created by industry experts and educators, ensuring top-notch quality. Some guides even serve as a bridge to the graphic novels found on the 'Adventures of Asia' site, enhancing the learning experience. To efficiently expand AST's offerings, we harnessed the power of the Thinkific learning management system, enabling them to programmatically and swiftly create diverse lesson guides in various formats. 'Asia in the Classroom' isn't just a resource hub; it's a tool that empowers educators and enriches the classroom experience.
